A backlit keyboard also known as illuminated keyboard is a keyboard that contains light under its buttons. The backlight illuminates the letters and symbols of the keys to make them visible in areas with low light. The print on the keys is semi-transparent which allows the light under to shine through.
Usually, the background light illuminates the small area around the key, which further improves the visibility of the keyboard. Most illuminated keyboards allow you to adjust the brightness levels. Most of the keyboards illuminate white lights. But, there are backlights that emit other colors, too.
Linepro also has the In-House capability to produce the most demanding dead front keyboard and dead front overlays. Dead front backlit keyboards are designed so that the symbols or graphics are not visible unless the graphics or symbols are lit up with a light source. The main idea is to illuminate the graphics or symbols only when you want the user to see it. Very commonly we can see these kinds of labels in automobile and aerospace industry.
